Talking about light at Lancaster Waterstones
Join us Wednesday 25th September at 6.30pm for an evening with the lovely Anna Levin who will be talking about her book 'INCANDESCENT'.
In Incandescent, journalist Anna Levin reveals her own fraught relationship with changes in lighting, and she explores its real impact on nature, our built environment, health and psychological well-being. We need to talk about light, urgently. And ask the critical question: just how bright is our future?
Tickets are £2 redeemable off the price of the book on the evening.

My essay, entitled 'Incandescent – we need to talk about light' addresses my concerns about the banning of incandescent lightbulbs and the impact of the loss of incandescent light on human health and the wider environment.

‘Words and Wings’ writing workshop at Waterston House
A one-day workshop using creative writing to explore our relationship with the natural world. The group will be reflecting on experiences from our own lives and 'sketching with words' as we look outside, harnessing the power of awareness to take us beyond our diaries and field notes. No experience of writing is needed.
